Inactive Email and Forgotten Password - Is It Possible to Have Password Reset

I moved recently and changed to a new ISP and now have a new email address. Since I have not logged into my xbox1 account in forever, I have forgotten the password. I am unable to follow the normal recovery method of having a temporary password sent to
my email account since my Xbox account still references my old email address.

When trying to reset the password, I am offered the option of receiving a single use code which would be sent to my old email address. I did not give my phone number as an additional contact point, so that option is not available to me. (Yes, I know. I
won't make that mistake again.)

I spent over an hour today with Xbox support via online chat and was finally instructed to submit an account recovery request. I explained that I did that yesterday and that I received the following response, "Unfortunately, we are not able to assist
you with your request. Your Microsoft account appears to be provided by an Internet Service Provider (ISP). Please contact your ISP to assist you with your account recovery." That does not make sense to me as I am not requesting any action with my ISP; I
am requesting that Microsoft provide a temporary code so that I can update my Xbox account; it has nothing to do with my ISP.

The support person insisted that I follow that same recovery process but give some incorrect information regarding the cc number used to pay for the account. This seemed silly but I did as instructed. Of course, an hour later I received the same message
as before.

So, after a few hours of typing with online support and filling out account recovery requests, I am still at step 0.

I am quite frustrated as I cannot imagine I am the first person to change email addresses and have forgotten the old email address's password.

If anyone knows how to resolve this issue, I would greatly appreciate your posting a response.

I did so and a few hours later received a notice from Microsoft indicating that since the email address was not from Microsoft, there is nothing that can be done to help me. It appears Xbox Support believes I am asking for my old email address password
to be reset. NO! I am simply asking for my Xbox account password to be reset so that I can then login and update my contact information.

This is getting really frustrating for me and would appreciate any guidance.

Recovering old account

Is there any possible way for me to recover an old account of mine, I have forgotten the email and password.

Cant log Into Xbox Live!!! My Parental password was forgotten and cant be recovered.

Since the new update i cant log into Xbox live because After i place my email and password in it also asks for parents permission. The email that it asks for parents permission for we no longer have access to. The security question has also been forgotten
since it has been years since that account has been used and ive basically tried every possible way recover the password and tried so many different possible passwords it couldve been. But its no help, the password is forgotten and i am not able to log in.
HELP PLEASE I need my account!!!

I would try giving phone support a call. Usually if you can prove that the account is yours, they can help. To be honest, I have not had to do this myself, so I do not know exactly what is needed to prove that the account is in fact your account. I would
guess that one way would be to identify the CC attached to the account, but please do not quote me on that as I am not certain. The phone # is 800-4my-xbox for the US and Canada.

| Home and click forgotten password and take it from there.

As you don't remember your account email, I can advise you fill the account recovery form, in that way you're going to submit a ticket with Microsoft account recovery team

You can try all the emails you remember or if you had a phone number attached to the account, you can use that too. (SkypeID also works)

Sadly, an account cannot be recovered with the gamertag alone.

Please note that no one here including Microsoft Support is capable to send password reset links for security policies

You need to get in contact with support for your region with all the details you can remember. They may be able to reset the password for you.
