    Hi, my tenure is stuck at "8 years" on my Xbox One, it's now almost 6 months behind when it should've changed on December 2nd, 2016, to "9 years" like it did on my Xbox 360, since I constantly add prepaid gold membership cards every now and then, so that
    it never lapses on the specific deadline date. I had already posted this same problem twice and nobody seems to care or help me for that matter.

    I think it starts from when you first get Xbox Live Gold, not when you first get your Xbox console. But if you go more than like a day without Xbox Live Gold, it goes back to 0? What does it say on your Xbox 360? (if you still have it). If the Xbox 360 system
    says it's 9 years and the Xbox 1 system says it's 8, THE XBOX 1 SYSTEM IS INCORRECT. But who can blame us. Xbox 1's UI is very lousy compared to Xbox 360's UI which is more user friendly. But if both systems say it's 8 years, the best place is to contact Xbox
    Support, Microsoft's official support channel.

    Sorry to hear that you're running into trouble with your tenure showing less than what it should be showing. This is something that does sometimes happy but the system corrects itself periodically. I know that when it's already been several months, that
    might not be an answer that you'd want to hear, but there aren't any troubleshooting steps to try for this sort of thing. The only thing that can be done is to let it correct itself over time, I'm afraid. If you run into any issues with anything else, be sure
    to create a new post and we'll be happy to lend a hand.

    No. I've never lapsed and my tenure is reporting inaccurately by 3 years. If you search tenure in the forums, you will see thread after thread regarding tenure reporting inaccurately for years now. Tenure reporting is obviously broken.

    Tenure starts from the first day you get gold but does not count any time you revert to a silver account.It also doesn't count if you are not the main account if you use the gold sharing feature.

    It doesn't revert to 0 if you go silver at any time,it just doesn't show your tenure.

    Tenure on the xbox one has always been a bit behind for some reason.When mine changes in July it'll change just fine on the xbox 360 but always takes several weeks to catch up on the xbox one.

    Inaccurate Xbox LIVE Tenure

    Have you ever not had Gold during those 5 years? Your tenure is only based on the number of cumulative years you've had a Gold membership.

    If you didn't have Gold for 2 of those years, then 3 would be the correct number. If you have been a Gold member for those 5 years, I'd suggest waiting for Official Support to respond to this thread or you can call or chat with a support agent in real time.
