Inability to make purchase

I have set up all my payment details but I am unable to make the purchase because a message keeps appearing telling me that my account does not allow purchases from the store but when i go to the settings where it tells me to go to change these setting.
I have selected to allow my account to download games from the market place so I am currently at a loss of what to do.

Can't purchase Empire Points because credit card info isn't registering correctly

To Hass - I have the Steam version and it is from within that AOEO game that I try to purchase EP. But, the inability to purchase points is really just a manifestation of my inability to successfully enter my credit card info at the XBox Live site. (I aready
have 2400 points in that account.)

Inability to merge account or transfer purchases

Just had a long chat with support over a problem I have and wondered if anyone had similar and found a solution (the chat tech told me he was unable to escalate the problem).

I have a main MS account that I use for most things including email, 365 and trialling Groove right now. I have another alias account I have used for Xbox live for maybe 10+ years. I really want to do one of the following:

1) Merge these two accounts, but I am told this is not possible due to some generic security reasons should one account get compromised.

2) Transfer my xbox purchases from the xbox account to the main account so I can ignore the alias one (its not big money, just a few games and DLC). Also unpossible!

Being unable to do either of these means I can't use services bought under my main account on the xbox (e.g. Groove in this case) so its hard to be as good a customer to Microsoft as I would normally be.

The workaround suggested was to make the home xbox the alias account and use the main account as a shar-ee so to speak. But then any purchases using the main account would not be available to the family and I'd be forever logging in to the alias account
to make purchases - its not a good solution basically.

Has anyone been able to get MS to do either of the above two options to help give them more money?

Hi Bow,

Thanks for coming to the forums. There has been an issue of subscriptions renewing but not showing that hey have been. We recommend that you request a call from support. They will be able to assist you in this issue.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

Step 1 ----select Xbox One
Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
Step 3-----select show contact options

Step 4 ----select request call from support

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

Hi there,

I'm sorry to say, it is not possible to merge 2 Microsoft accounts into one, nor is it possible to transfer items (games/DLC, achievements, etc.) between accounts. The option has never been there. You can go to https://xbox.uservoice.com to suggest/vote
on having the ability of doing that. I'm sure there are a number of people out there who would like the option to consolidate accounts.

Otherwise the best recommendation is to start weaning your way down to using just one account for all purchases moving forward. Make sure both accounts have the console as it's home console or one has to be logged in on the console in order for others to
play any of the purchased games.

I know it's not what you want to hear, but I hope this helps.

I do not have another PC with which to try to use Minecraft. Are you suggesting that my inability to download and install the game from the Microsoft Store is related to my live account? I should add that I tested the ability to make a purchase through the Microsoft store, and I was able to purchase the Game Pass for a discounted rate. Purchasing something seems to work just fine.
