In voice chat, I can hear them but they can't hear me. My headset shows up as connected.

It happens to me as well, all you have to do is really turn your system off and back on.

Hello there NicoleKercado I'll be happy to try and help you work this out. If you don't mind, may i ask what kind of headphones do you have?

First ill look for any updates or alerts. then i would start a party by myself and see if my mic is getting picked up. "you know this by the white ring around your icon when you talk". if that doesnt work check your settings again..

1. Check that your headset is on. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, then go to System > Settings > General > Volume & audio output, and then make sure that Headset
   mic is switched to On.
2. Make sure that you’ve joined the party chat from within the party window.
3. Check that your privacy settings allow communication with everyone:

Yes I connected them directly, controllers are up to date, I can hear audio and voice chat, same with the new headset, it's only the mic that isn't registering, I test it in party chat showing my headset is connected, it doesn't highlight when I talk even
in game chat

@gh0stz. Im having the exact same problem. in party chat if my headset is connected they can hear me but i cannot hear them. However, when I'm not in party chat and the headset is connected, I hear game sound through the headset but no chat sound. let me

I can't hear anybody through my TB XO One headset, but they can hear me. Game chat is fine, but in party chat it doesn't work. It shows me speaking when I speak, and my friends tell me they can hear me, and if I unplug the headset, I can hear people speaking
through the TV speakers.

The fact that game chat still works proves that it's Microsoft's software, not my headset, adapter, Xbox or controller.
