You can buy any game as a gift. You will get that option in the store.

You have to purchase a game to make a gift out of it. In the xbox store you have the option to buy for yourself or purchase as a gift.

Yep, if you go on the microsoft store on xbox, search for “xbox live gold”. Then select buy as gift, you can buy it for someone else, and they will get an xbox live message with the code.

As far as I know you can only buy games as gifts. If you want to buy Gold, buy a physical card or a code from an online retailer.

Thanks for the answer. Xbox Live Gold can be bought as a gift but not now because of this problem. Why does Store never work correctly?(

I do not see any option to Buy as Gift for Xbox Live subscription. I'm not even sure you can gift anything else other than games.

Do you mean you want to gift a game you already own? The gifting function on XB1, covers buying a digital game for someone:

1. Navigate to the Store tab on your Xbox One console.
2. Locate a game that you would like to give as a gift and open its store listing.
3. Select the Buy as gift option.
4. Enter the email address of the person to whom you would like to send the gift.​ ...
5. Choose your payment method.
6. Select Buy as a gift to complete the transaction.
