    Looking for friends for my autistic 7 yr old

    My son has autism but is high functioning as well as verbal. my son has been playing minecraft since he was three. He's a huge fan of minecraft as well as terraria. he plays with his dad online but it would be nice for him to play with others who are close
    in age and either has or is understanding of those with special needs. thanks

    Hey there Queenie Brea,

    To clarify, the Windows 10 Beta is actually a version of the Minecraft Pocket Edition. And the only other games you would be able to join would be users who are also using a version of Minecraft Pocket Edition. You can find more information on the official

    It's not possible to play others who are using an Xbox 360 or Xbox One version when using the Windows 10 Beta.

    To play with others on Pocket Edition you'll either need to be playing using Local Multiplayer or have a Minecraft Realms account and you can learn more about that here.

    Minecraft Java edition is not cross-play enabled. You would need Minecraft for Windows 10 to play with friends on other platforms.

    Yes, you will need to buy Minecraft for the other platform. All Minecraft products/purchases are platform specific. If you purchased Minecraft for Windows or Java Edition, they will only work on PC and will not give you the other versions of Minecraft. And so on. So if you purchased Minecraft for mobile, the PC or console version will need to be purchased if you want to play on them.

    There is an offer running for Minecraft that people who purchased Minecraft for Windows will receive the Java Edition for free (and vice-versa). But it only applies for these two versions that are for computer.
