In light of recent attacks on the Xbox Live service..

Perhaps you should invest in this:

    http://www.prolexic.com/

Or I will cease investing in the endless pit of money that is your service. I'm so tired of throwing money at your company hoping that at least something will work or make the hundreds of dollars worth something.

This is not an advertisement or a sarcastic post. I seek either a more stable platform similar to the one that I should be receiving for the mass amount of money that I - and countless others - have been paying for, or reimbursement for the money that I have
spent in the year 2014 for a service that is supposed to exist year round. The total downtime of the Xbox Live service has been equal to at least a month if not longer.

I highly recommend better protection for the Xbox Live service or any other means that will prevent the service from being interrupted. This Christmas will be a nightmare for the gaming populace if Microsoft continues to ignore the threats of Lizard Squad and
other such groups. Stop pretending that the issue doesn't exist and acting as though you're above them. They continue to show that they are capable of disabling and destroying the service that is offered and yet I am still expected to pay for the actions of
others and a service that I rarely ever receive.

    :)

  2. I am about to get hacked

@neon If you do get kicked off line here is the type of attack this is and info about it. Also check the account security checklist found

    HERE
Also please do not name or shame any names thank you

Denial of service (DoS) or Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks

If you play games on Xbox LIVE, you could experience a denial of service (or DoS) attack or a distributed denial of service (or DDoS) attack. Such attacks may render your device (that is, your Xbox 360 console or your computer) temporarily
unable to connect to the Internet or to Xbox LIVE.

If you have an Xbox LIVE account, your Xbox 360 console could experience a DoS attack or DDoS attack from another Xbox LIVE account. DoS attacks and DDoS attacks are sometimes used as retaliation between Xbox LIVE gameplayers.

If you think you've experienced a DoS or DDoS attack, we recommend that you reset your Internet router and contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP). If you know who initiated the DoS or DDoS attack, you may also want to submit
a player review to Xbox LIVE and avoid the attacker in the future.

More info on these DOS and DDOS attack can be found

    HERE

Your Xbox Live had been down a month??? That's not my experience. Regardless, if it's been down that much this year and it wasn't on your end, report it to Support. They may agree to make it right by giving you a free month of Live.

If you have a 12 month card, you paid (at most, if you're not a savvy shopper) $60, which is the average price of a game (that you won't play daily for a year) or $5 a month.

Calm down and stop blowing this out of proportion.

The issue isn't just the cost of xbox live, for some like me, I also lose All my streaming (that I pay for each of) Netflix Hulu Amazon, etc.

I cut cable to stream via xbox and now the only thing its good for is a DVD player, and I got one of those already, JackA$$.

In light of recent attacks on the Xbox Live service..

modesq is right about this, guys. This isn't something to get so worked up. Networks get hacked. This happened to PSN for month and a half, and the last time, Microsoft repaired Xbox Live in a day. Less than a day. Why are you getting mad at Microsoft, who
is also a victim? Because of Lizard Squad, they have to deal with customers' issues and with repairing their service as quickly as they can. This costs money, guys. They aren't sitting around in plush chairs wearing velvet smoking jackets and smoking pipes
saying, "Oh, to hell with all them! Boley! Other English Aristocratic phrases!"

This sucks, yes. I hate it when Live goes down. I can't play a lot of my games and I lose services that I've paid for. I hate it as much as anyone else. Yes, I want Microsoft to fix this ASAP (and they have, by the way), and I want this to stop from happening.
But unfortunately, there are hackers, and they target companies and do their best to *** off consumers.

Microsoft is doing a *** good job, as far as I'm concerned. Like I said, they need to stop this crap from happening as much as possible, but just like last time, they fixed this problem in a matter of hours. Wanna go to PSN? They've gotten better, but these
Lizard Squad guys took it down for two days in September.

So you can be upset with Microsoft for getting hacked, which would just be one set of victims blaming another set of victims. Or you could get angry at Lizard Squad and other hacking groups that think hurting companies AND their customers is somehow a great
statement against capitalism that is for the good of all the little guys. I haven't seen a single person on these forums direct any blame or anger at the actual perpetrators, the ones who cost everyone money. If you've got the time and energy to hate on Microsoft,
how about directing at least some of that toward the guys who put us all through this crap?

  9. hey its no big deal though guys, modesq has opened my eyes, i'm not being robbed, i'm just spending my money to *** on an xbox live forum instead of enjoy my hulu and netflix and destiny, and amy, and arcania, and tanks, and army of two, and battleblock
arcade, and walking dead seasons 1-10, and battlefield 1,2, and 3, and all other 50 *** title i've payed for and downloaded and wont work unless xbox live is fixed. hey guess what though all my apps still work on my pc...

hmm i wonder why i pay for xbox live?

BTW PSN is free, or it was anyway when it got hacked, so its not exactly the same thing at all. I pay for xbox live because i want a BETTER network, and one you PAY for should be better.

    I Agree with C0deReader..

    and with DefoliateAuto. :$

I'm just fed up with this and won't spend one more dime on you untill you stop drinking tea and get to solve your problems that effect your loyal customers.

Like many ppl on my friendslist I have decided to cancel my order on the Xbox one and the games I've pre-ordered.

Those little kids trolling MS with the simplest methods shouldn't even be a problem for you and yet we're all having issues on things we've paid for.
