    Randomness is NOT balance. Just saying. I liked the TF beta and have not purchased the game yet, but randomness is not balance (in general).

    As I understand the article, the system will work both ways allowing to you to purchase with in-game funds or actual monies. As for being random, I would assume that would depend on the game in question. As for the example given in the article however,
    it appears it's not so random when you can purchase the next level with either in-game funds or actual monies. That suggests an order, not randomness. But again, it would probably come down to the specific game itself.

    ....Quit being so close-minded. Personally, my favorite make in the game is Lamborghini, but I drive pretty much everything... when I have enough credits, I purchase random cars from random manufacturers. If it looks good, I buy it.
