in game mic not working at all

in party chat my mic works, but when i'm in game chat it doesn't work, i can hear teammates but i cant talk to them, by the way party chat works, just not in game, this is happening to all of my games. i have tried many things, restarting my console, turning
off and on, i just don't know what to do at this point can someone help?

and also another thing about this absolutely NO form of in game chat works AT ALL across all of my games, this is very sad. hopefully there are some fixes

ok go into your settings on Xbox under device and accessories, then attach the controller to the Xbox via a cable then attach the mic to the controller find controller update and click update and don't move your controller (click update even if one is not
available) hopefully this will fix it
