In game audio auto-mutes, cloud gaming Xbox game pass

I’m using my Samsung smart TV to play via game pass as cloud gaming. It worked perfectly for about a week, but now whenever I open a game there is no audio, it’s like it’s set to automute when the actual gameplay launches, I hear audio in the app before I go in game. It works fine if I uninstall and reinstall, but then the audio goes again in a few days. How can I fix this without having to uninstall every time!! Thanks

I can see that you're experiencing issues with the audio in your cloud gaming Xbox game pass. One possible solution is to try clearing the cache of the Xbox Game Pass app on your Samsung smart TV. Here are the steps to do so:

1. Press the Home button on your Samsung smart TV remote.

2. Navigate to the Xbox Game Pass app and highlight it.

3. Press and hold the Enter button on your remote until a menu appears.

4. Select "Settings" from the menu.

5. Scroll down to "Clear cache" and select it.

6. Confirm that you want to clear the cache.

After clearing the cache, try launching a game again and see if the audio issue persists. If it does, you may want to try uninstalling and reinstalling the app again as a temporary solution until a permanent fix is found.

Hi Samy, after more testing I figured out the cloud interface was auto-setting to Muted. I kept re-launching the game and unmuting it, and eventually the sound stayed on.

If you have not muted your mic physically, then you could be muted on your Parental Controls, by Xbox LIVE (possibly by Xbox Enforcement), or by a game. Does this problem only occur on specific games? Certain games such as Halo: Reach have
an auto-mute system that will mute you to everyone if you have been muted by enough people.

only games that are currently on Game Pass are available for cloud play, regardless of whether you own them, and as you noted grand theft auto left on January 5

Game pass has nothing to do with playing back video and audio, which is what windows media center was for. What specifically are you trying to do?

there is no way to play game pass on Xbox 360. You'll have to upgrade to a minimum of Xbox one, or play on your PC if you have game pass ultimate or PC game pass

you can also use the cloud to play Xbox one and series games on your PC
