In college dorms attempting to connect with an ethernet cord

hello fellow xbox users,

i have registered my xbox one on to the network at my university, but i am not able to play multiplayer this way, as the screen says opponent lost everytime i attempt to play someone in FIFA. With destiny coming out tomorrow night, It would be appreciated
if i could get a quick response. I realize this probably isn't the best place to post this but i am getting desperate. my ethernet cord runs from my xbox to an outlet in the wall

Your NAT status is something you would have to discuss with your dorm network admiins as it is outside of your control. It would involve them opening up the ports for Xbox live however they may not wish to do so , you can but try

Hello, I live in a college dorm where I have plugged the Ethernet cord into the wall, previously I have had no issue with internet and live connection, aka multiplayer and party chats, but I have been having them recently. When I test connection it says
I have a strict NAT, and to turn off then turn back on my router. Problem is, I dont have the router, I use the buildings router. It also says that I have an account alert, which makes no sense. Any suggestions on how to connect? My other devices (phone, computer)
work fine with the internet, its only the xbox that is continuously connecting and disconnecting.

Is your university's internet fast enough to play multiplayer? If it is, then possibly your university blocked some of the Xbox Live features.

I am connected to I think a hub. I am in a college dorm with a wall outlet specific for ethernet....I tried turning back on before restarting the console and it now reconnected to live, but I don't think this is a permanent fix.

So if I understand you correctly, the only game that you experiecing latency is Madden? Do you have Madden game installed on your Xbox's hard drive? If you go to storage device on your console and select Games and Apps, does it show any corrupted files (Corrupted
contens is shown as an yellow exclamation mark)?

Could you try play a different game online and tell us if you're experiencing the same problem with latency. I would also like you to post up the results from a
speedtest along with a
pingtest.
