    Hi There,

    No you can't play the Xbox One version with the Xbox 360 version because they are considered different games. The Xbox One and Xbox 360 are actually different platforms so it would be considered cross-platform gaming and therefore wouldn't work. If your
    friend has the Xbox 360 version of Borderlands 2 then he can use that one to play with you and it will work.

    Borderlands 1 Co-op on Xbox 360 and Xbox One

    On the Xbox One I purchased the 360-version of Borderlands 1 and on the Xbox 360 we have the Borderlands 1 game disc. Hosting a public xbox live match on the Xbox One and then searching for that match on the Xbox 360 results in the 360 not being able to see the match that I have hosted on the One. The 360 also cannot connect to the game when I host a private match on the One and invite her xbox live profile to the game and lobby. The 360 will go to the Borderlands loading screen and eventually the screen becomes all black and just hangs. If I am in the lobby on the Xbox one hosting a private match I will see "Player" join the lobby with me after inviting her to the match but, her account/the 360 never fully connects. I will have to try hardwiring them toghether today but, I'm thinking the games are two different versions and that is causing a conflict because she can play online through the 360 and join other peoples servers who I assume are playing on the 360 as well.

    I'm looking for friends that will play borderlands 2 on xbox live. Me and my husband play 2 player but sometimes when hes at work I get bored playing the game alone and I am always signed into xbox live when I play games. Feel free to send me a friends request.
    Oh by the way I don't have a mic so I wont be able to talk to anyone on there.
