    Improved graphics quality on Xbox one


    I had issues with frame rate while playing destiny, player vs. player. I asked myself if I would get a better quality picture using a of monitor connected to Xbox rather than a TV and I did. What I uncovered next blew me away..

    I connected my TV back to my Xbox 1 and found I had the same quality and what I saw on my monitor. The difference?? TV output = DVI

    So specifically

    The TV is connected to Xbox 1 via the HDMI cable provided with the console. There are no adapters, just the standard cable.

    On the console under Settings > display and sound, change the TV output option to DVI. This resets the resolution, so set the resolution back to 1080p and select the "allow 50hz" checkbox.

    The result is a far sharper picture and a better refresh rate. Only downside is you now need an optical cable for sound..

    The console is clearly cable of rendering a higher resolution/refresh rate than what is experienced una standard HDMI setup, please fix!

    I think there are 3 potentials for BF4 on Xbox. Either 360 and One will have cross-compatibility and therefore the One version will be scaled back from its potential and either have the same graphics as 360 or improved resolution and graphics. Or the One
    will be separate community and be on the likes of PC quality for multiplayer and improved graphics and resolution. Or the 3rd will be some blend. Maybe cross-compatibility will exist with some features only available to One users. Honestly, I don't care if
    it is fragmented. I want native 1920x1080 resolutions (no more upscaling from 720p! BF3 on PC at 1920x1080 on the lowest graphics settings is still sharper and better looking than the Xbox 360 version on the same monitor running 1920x1080 VGA out) and full
    scale battles.

    Edit: Also, if they are fragmenting though, that is quite a breakdown. 5 different versions. The PC community will be unaffected but the PS and Xbox community will see quite a divide in gaming population.

    I'm pretty sure it was announced that DirectX 12 would improve the graphics quality of some games on the Xbox One.

    Installing only improves the cache, which in turn improves graphical pop-up, not the quality of the image.

    It was changed at the last minute so that saves move from the series version to the one version and vice versa, eliminating the Xbox One achievement list and combining those as well.

    As previously stated you will have to pay for the series version, I highly recommend it it's a extreme improvement not only in graphics, but quality of life, such as no load times between areas
