Improve Xbox One performance/ fix speed, lag and crashing

For the past month or 2 my Xbox One has been running poorly. Apps and games are taking longer to launch, sometimes I get a pop up telling me launching mite take a while. Sometimes the apps/games will crash and I'll have to force them to stop. I'm streaming apps I get errors causing me to restart the app, spotify will freeze in the middle of songs before continuing. Games, both disc copy and digital copy load slowly. In Minecraft (most frequently played game) entities and mobs move as if in slow motion and react slow. This is in a privet non server world with minimal add-ons. Lowering settings does nothing and I can't find anything about it in troubleshooting with Microsoft, Xbox or Minecraft.

I've cleared the cache and I'm only using 23% of storage.

So my question is, how can i fix this/ improve performance?

If you use an external hard drive with the console disconnect and test the game without it and please follow these steps.

1. Power cycle your console.

Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console until it shuts down completely.

Unplug the console's power cable, wait 10 seconds. Be sure to wait 10 seconds, this step resets the power supply. 

Plug the console power cable back in, turn on your Xbox.

2. If the problem persists reset the console to factory defaults, you won't lose anything but you will need to log in with your account again. Email and password are required.

Follow this path and select reset keeping games and app.

In 5 to 10 minutes you will finish reconfiguring your console

To reset the console>

Settings> System> Console Info> Reset Console

***Do not reset your console without having your account email and password.***

If the problem still persists the last step you can do on the console is reset this time but erasing everything. If you are still experiencing the problem, your console needs to be repaired.

If the 15MBps is your overall line speed, then that would explain the lag as that is quite a low speed for cloud gaming so buying a console would improve game performance

Thanks for coming to the forums with the issue with lag in multiplayer matches. We recommend to first reboot your network hardware. After run the detailed network statistics and make sure the speeds are good. You want low latency, no packet loss and NAT
to be open. Most times with issues with lag in multiplayer are due to network connection to the game server. You an also view the

troubleshooter for slow performance and try the troubleshooting steps out to improve the matches.
