Impressions after Xbox GamesCom

this years gamescom was supposed to be full of surprises but alas the only surprise I got was another stab in the back with the same knife Microsoft had already put there since day one, judging by what I have read I am simply going to compare what really
gets to me:

Day One owners got (yes I am one and It was a stupid idea at the time):

Xbox One (500mb), Headset, Kinect 2 (personally didn't want), Controller (imprinted with DAY ONE 2013), FIFA14 (was out on all platforms) and a worthless Achievement, all for £429.99 (yes I am using Pounds)

with what I read about xbox at gamescom Microsoft are offering:

Xbox One (1TB, styled to Advanced Warfare), Controller (Styled to Advanced Warfare), Headset and Advanced Warfare all for the same price £429.99

on the other hand:

Xbox One (500mb, White Xbox), Controller (White), Headset and Sunset Overdrive (Xbox one exclusive) all for £349.99

its just like when the Titanfall Bundle was first announced and they dropped the Kinect requirement

Microsoft have not done anything for us Day One buyers we are the ones that got *** over in more than one way. They need to do something for us as we are the ones that are truly loyal to the Xbox but what I don't know.

Yes, only 2 playable PS4 games! Knack and driveclub. Nobody has a clue whats going on at the PS4 side, people were really VERY disappointed!

And yes, lots of people were in the PC halls but hey, its Germany, PC is still very popular here.

 

they dont owe us anything i picked mine up at the midnight release and have enjoyed it everyday since then i personally think gamescom was a great show

 

1 terabyte sounds nice was hoping for more but thats nice

 

I will never understand why some people believe companies owe them something for buying a product.

You make it sound like you are doing them a favour, and somehow you have had to suffer.

Every time they release a newer version of the console it will get better, your day one consoles specs are going to look worse each time.

 

Ah the price of being an early adopter. Based on last generation, it's something you should already know heading into this new generation because the topic isn't new, especially dealing with technology like phones, tablets, and even cars. Although I like
using my kinect for voice commands and group skyping.

 

This is good for everyone, anything that helps Xbox and the Xbox Community is better for us. I hope this entices more of the Xbox Community who still reside on the awesome Xbox 360, to come to next gen. It is good for all of us.

No regrets here, Day One Edition, midnight release myself. And I would not change anything.

My impressions of gamescom was Xbox looked great and I am excited about many games. Especially Tomb Raider, Quantum Break, and Forza Horizon 2, Halo MCC. Oh I will just stop there, there are to many.

 

Hmm, and here I thought this thread would be about actual impressions of the games/products showcased. Instead, I get (yet) another entitlement cry-fest. Disappointed.

The new Quantum Break trailer kind of "irked" me a bit. The whole idea behind the game fascinates me, but the vast majority of the gameplay they showed was just seen-it-before shooting scenes. I want to watch some story-line or backstory. I understand
that isn't very flashy though.

Quantum Break looked like Alan Wake inspired to me so not much new really. That Sam Lake has a cool hairdo though.
