Impossible to remote Install Games on Xbox

Yes I had the same problem targeting installs from xbox.com or Xbox live Gold games

And I didn't change anything in my network environment, except I totally unplugged the console (power/audio/HDMI/Network) for a whole night, and in the meantime I restarted my internet acces point.

Nothing more.

An my console finally and mysteriously appeared on the corresponding tab on the app, and since then I can remotely install from the app, as supposed to be a cool feature

Let's take the example of Resident Evil 4 that is a GamePass game

- I added this game on my "play later" list from the GamePass tab directly on the console's dashboard

- So I can see this game in the "play later" tab in the Android GamePass App (see my screenshot above)

- I'm sure I can start the install from the console as I already did for Lif is Stange 2 (see screenshot)

--> do we agree that, at this step, you want me to hit the big green button below (in the Android GamePass App) ?

I have this issue too with my Xbox One X and the Android GamePass app. This used to work however something must have changed in either my Dashboard (Preview Alpha) or the Android app. Strangely enough, the Android GamePass app is able to uninstall items
on my console and record the installation progress when I manually install GamePass games on my console.

I have reported this issue both on the GamePass app and via console Insider Hub report feature.

silly question... when you try to install a game from xbox.com or the game pass app, does the game appear in the ready to download section on the my games & app on the console?

depending on the GB of the download or the internet connect the game may fail to download and you’ll have to manually install it from the ready to download section, also when you try to download a game does it appear in the download section with an error
message?

can we try to download a game with the console on then lets do this:

1. Go to settings

2. Blu-ray & Disc

3. Clear Storage

4. Hold the power button for 10 seconds

5. Remove all cables for 60 seconds

6. reconnect all cables

7. wait another 60 seconds

8. turn on

9. Sign in

10. Run a wifi network test

11. try hardwiring the console

12. retest internet connection

13. hold the power button for 10 seconds

14. Turn back on

15. sign in

16. go to my games & apps

17. Ready to install or downloads

now does the games appear in ready to install or downloads?

the console isn’t required to be named or to be set as your home xbox, when you connect the xbox to the internet and sign into your account it will appear under your devices, this will hold the information such as serial number etc.
