    Impossible to add a new method of payment, or change region


    Hello all,

    I have been having this problem for 2 month now, and the lady from microsoft support seems to be unable to help me.

    I hope to have better luck here.

    So here is the problem:

    About 2 months ago, my means of payment on microsoft seemed to fail when I was trying to purchase on the MS store or the xbox live for no apparent reason.

    I then deleted my means of payment and tried to add them back: Impossible!

    I contacted MS support and they have been trying to solve the problem.

    In the meantime, I moved to the US and Microsoft won't allow me to move my account here (I created this account in France).

    I am guessing those 2 problems are related to each other.

    Any way you can help me out ?

    What type of payment method are you trying to add? Credit Card

    What region is your account set to? France

    What region do you physically connect from? As of right now, the US. Didn´t work from France either

    What region is your payment method's billing address in? France

    What type of payment method are you trying to add? Paypal

    What error code or message are you receiving?     No error but the method of payment won´t add

    Problems with downloading games having xbox live gold

    Under the 'Payments methods' I can see a link to add a payment method. And there are no buttons like 'change payment methods'. So, I guess, I should go to 'add a payment method', should I not?

    billing confusion

    Too transfer your balance to a new card follow the steps below

    Sign in to the Billing and Account Management website. https:billing.microsoft.com

    Under Your payment methods, click the payment method you want to change.

    Under Payment method activity, click Go to payment method information.

    Under Payment method information for this account, click Use a different payment method.

    Click Add new credit card, and then click Next.

    Click Add new Direct Debit, and then click Next.

    On the Confirm transfer page, confirm the balances and services you want to transfer, and then click Next.

    Enter the information for the new payment method, and then click Save.

    Please check this link for reasons why you cannot change your region

    support.xbox.com/.../change-region

    Because of what is happening with your account it seems as though there may be some kind of billing issue going one with your tag that is preventing you from changing the region of your account.

    Sorry to say it but you're going to have to continue to deal with phone support until this gets sorted for you.

    You haven't mentioned the region of your payment method

    You can add that payment method here

    https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments

    Changing the region on the account it's probably not necessary, as it should be your real location the one set currently

    I have moved recently and changed my region accordingly in my Xbox One. I also added a new payment from the new region I'm in.

    But on the Xbox and on the website (marketplace.xbox.com) the only payment method I can choose is the old one when trying to get a Xbox 360 gold game.

    I have to say that the problem is only with 360 games. With One games the payment method is correctly selected for the new region.

    Is there a place in the microsoft account to change the 360 region? Or do I seriously need a 360 console to do this change?
