Impossible moders

I was just recently playing a round of L4D when I realized one of the guys on the other team was moding. Normally I try to ignore it, but this guy was flying around the map and making it almost impossible for my team to spawn. So naturally I went to go report
him. Only, when I went to go click on his gamertag it took me to my profile. So I tried again and it did the same thing. So I looked at the "Players" tab to see if i could get to it through there and their name wasn't even there! So I looked up their gamer
tag and their gamer tag was somehow longer than it can be. If you ever see this player
[GT Removed] - Do not name and shame in the forums. would suggest getting out of that game as soon as you can. I asked the other team if they could see their profile and they said they could not, and they couldn't even kick them. They knew
the person wasn't the lobby leader because they joined in after the game had started.

Sick and tired of Mods/ Haxs

These people are not a clan, they are just using mods that (MOD REMOVED) created.

Everyone that use`s that particular set of mods has that tag imprinted on their in game gamercard.

Sadly you can't report on the forum, as it is against the rules here
forums.xbox.com/.../515277.aspx. Doing so is more likely to get you banned from the forum than it is the other person from LIVE.

The player likely modded how their name appeared in game, not on the actual LIVE service. Have a look at your recent players list for folk you played with in Left 4 Dead. The name you don't recognise is likely the player you mention.

Vote is correct. Although you haven't name and shamed in your opening post, if you did have the gamertag it would be against the forum guidelines to use this domain to post it. Follow through with votes advice and hopefully you find the positive outcome.
My advice would be to drop out of games as soon as possible if you see this sort of behaviour in a lobby / online play.

Team up with a trusted friend over xbox live party, play the game together, and give him or her moderator status. After that tell your friend what she or he can do! Best way to find out the answer to this thread. The host should be able to demote whoever
they selected to be moderator via the in game menu while playing. They can click in the menu on the player and untick moderator or untick or tick trust player, fire spreads, etc. It should be impossible for any moderator to run the hosts map when the host
is offline, as much as it should be impossible for a moderator to kick out the host. Hosts have the ultimate control in the game.

There are so many people out there that have a chance at being a moderator that it's almost impossible to become one...(I think, ask a moderator yourself.)

Just be a role model here on the forums and you might get picked. Keep in mind that being a forum moderator DOESN'T give you the ability to 'suspend' people from Xbox LIVE.

FYI - In October 2005, when the previous forum came online to replace the old one, for the first few months we could post images, it was canned because moderation of the images was near impossible, it'll be interesting to see how they do it now.
