Impersonating a member of the xbox staff

I believe that someone is impersonating a member of the xbox staff, to use this against me.is there anyway I can see or check if they are a general moderator

Someone has threatened to ban my account!!! HELP!!!

If the person was impersonating an Xbox Staff Member, then file a complaint on him.

HI if this is relating to something posted on the forums then usually that information will be displayed in the small section at the bottom of the part that shows the persons gamertag, please see the key to what the icons mean.

Thanks for replying, it's actually someone on xbox live itself, I recieved a messege from someone accusing me of camping the dicussion turned sour, now I'm being threatened by being told that I'm going to be banned from xbox live by this guy's friend who
is a "general moderator" for xbox live so I called his bluff but I just wanted to know if there is anyway that I could see or that someone could see if he is a "GM" or not so if needs be I can take the matter further.

Yes best way to do that would be just to report them via console, there is no way I'm aware of to check to see if a member is staff besides looking there profile up on the forms and seeing there badge. I would do that to make sure that the enforcement
team is aware of the problem and start to take care of the issue.

As Cabooty02 stated, the best route to take is to report those users. I also wanted to assure you that Xbox Staff would never contact users over Xbox Live messages to discuss/threaten suspensions. If you received a text or voice message from a user claiming
to be able to take action, be sure to report that message and block the user if they're continuing to threaten action.
