image problem with my xbox one

I've had my XB1 for about a year now and not had problems with the console (did have the 1st kinect die and need to be replaced). But suddenly today, I started having problems. 1st I noticed the screen shaking while my kids were watching a youtube video.
I wondered if the system was getting too hot (though it didn't feel very hot), so I powered it down for a couple hours.

Then I turned the system back on this evening, open Dragon Age Inquisition (on disc) and step out the room for a second. I return the screen is covered in pink lines and green boxes. A bit worried, I again powered the system down. I checked the temp again, it felt fine. I reattached all my cables and fired up the system again. Within a couple seconds the screen started shaking again as seen in this video:

I'm not sure what the problem is & I hope that I won't need to mail it in as I game far more during the holiday time then I do any other part of the year. Anyone see this before? Know how serious this is?

Custom Profile Image

Hi,

I have a problem with my custom xbox profile image. Maybe someone can give me a tip.

When I select an image on XBox One, Xbox One X or XBox iOS App the image is uploaded without error message. All friends see my new image BUT on my own devices the new image is not shown. It works with predefined images on my devices BUT not with a custom
image. I've tried it with dozens images, all at least 1080x1080px. And as I said: My friends see the new custom picture. Any ideas?

Additional Info: I have a custom user image on my Microsoft Account. I want the same image on my XBox devices.

 

Xbox one broken

hi there!! I have a problem with my xbox one..when i turn it up she;s not working..remain blocked on the Tv screen only the image with xbox one on the green front..please help me

 

Sorry to hear it. Can you try getting a different HDMI cable and see if that fixes the issue?

If it doesn't then you may need to return it. However, you don't need to just send the console in and wait at your doorstep for the return. Give phone support a call and set up an advanced exchange. What they do is take your credit card info and put a
hold on the cost of a console (they do not take the money) then send you a console. When you receive the replacement console you send yours back and when they receive it at their service center they will remove the hold from your card.

 

Thanks for the suggestion, it seemed to work initially. But after working fine on Christmas day, I left town for a few days and on using the console for the first time on returning it's got the exact same error. I even switched the new cable for the old
one and the messed up image looks identical whether I'm using the official Xbox One HDMI cable or the new one that I purchased.

Thankfully they just opened a Microsoft store in my area a month or so ago, I'll be taking it over there to see if they can help me without needing to mail it off. (this is my 1st Microsoft console and so far I'm pretty let down, I've had it just over a
year and had the kinect die at ~6 months, which they did replace for free. But now am having crippling display issues with the console itself at 1 year; I hope the warranty didn't expire at 1 year)
