    Image from HDMI IN looks horizontally stretched.


    The image from what I'm connecting to the HDMI in looks horizontally stretched. Because of this, I'm missing a piece of the image on both the left and right side.

    I can't find anything on the settings to change this. Any help?

    That's really odd,

    I would try connecting the console to your TV using a different HDMI cable or using
    different ports on your TV.

    Also, to clarify:

    • Are you seeing any image on your screen?
    • Is the image really pixalated or stretched?
    • What are you actually seeing on your TV?

    Give those steps a shot and let us know the answer to those questions and we'll work from there.

    Aspect Ratio Incorrect When Streaming

    I am using the Xbox App to stream my Xbox One to my Windows 10 machine. I have been doing this for a long time, but I somehow did something that now causes it to display stretched (horizontally) on my screen. If I try to go to the Display settings (on
    the Xbox while streaming) and attempt to select 1080 (instead of 640x480), it causes the streaming to lose the network connection (doing any other stuff does not cause a connection problem, it is only the display settings). Everything looks good when I use
    the Xbox One on my TV, it just appears horizontally stretched when streaming. This problem seemed to appear out of nowhere, and I am not sure what to do to fix it. Any ideas? Thanks.

    What is your TV model? Some of the older sets typically have a "zoom" option, which would crop or stretch the image. There might even be options to "offset" the picture vertically or horizontally.

    The picture on the tv had the horizontal be fine it stretched across but the top and bottom was compressed to half of the screen it was just weird.
