I'm unable to talk through my mic, though I can hear

The other day I was talking on my headset, everything was fine. Then all of sudden I could only hear, and the speech bubble in the party chat wouldn't light up. I went to compose voice message and I couldn't hear anything. I unplugged my headset and plugged
it back in still nothing. I went to restart my xbox, restart my modem, and update my controller still nothing. I assumed it was my mic so I purchased a new mic and the exact same thing happen. I went as far as getting a new controller, still didn't work. And
that's where I'm at now. Also I checked if I was suspended since I had trouble with that in the past but nothing.

Xbox One Microphone Issue

Alright i have been trying to get my mic to work. I have unplugged it and turned my Xbox on and off, and i have turned my controller on and off. I muted the mic and it turned orange, when i turn the volume up i can hear the noise through the mic. I cant
hear people through it and i cant talk through it can someone help?

I have a wireless mic that I can hear but can’t talk through and then I have a mic that I plug in and. I can talk through that so why can’t I talk through my wireless mic

Okay I can't help you with the issue but I have a similar problem where I can hear friends in party chat and game chat but they can't hear me even though my Xbox is detecting that it hears me talking. This both applies through my mic and the kinect. The
thing that puzzles me over it all, is that my mic and kinect definitely work because they work through the Skype app, so can anyone help, please

Xbox firmware I'm assuming, I'm just not sure why some people's mics work and some don't.

If I'm in a party with someone who can still talk, I can hear them over my headset(s), but they can't hear me talk, and the xbox doesn't pic up any sound from the mic.
