I'm unable to sign into my account- it's giving contradicting error messages

Whenever I try to sign in, it says"That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different account or get a new one."

When I click on get a new one it says"[my email] is already a Microsoft account. If it's yours, sign in now."

Clicking on the sign in brings me back to the first error message.

Hi Charissa,

You'd need to contact support directly. Start at https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact and type in 'Talk to agent', then select the blue 'contact support' button. Select billing and account profile questions under other products, then start a live chat on the next page. You may need to temporarily sign in to an alternate Microsoft account to be able to speak with someone.

I'm having same issue. I received the error message and code to sign in with. Then it tells me my controls are not assigned. I'm unable to sign in to my live account. What is going on? Was Xbox one worth this? Haven't been able to play it yet!

It gives me a different message, it gives me another error code when I try to sign in to my account again.

Also I try connecting it to when of my other accounts to act like a parent account I'm unable to connect it as it gives me an error (error 801540FE) what does that mean?
