I’m trying to unlink my PlayStation account from my Microsoft account

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you have an existing Microsoft account that is linked to your PlayStation.

However, according to Minecraft's policy, once a Microsoft account has been linked to a PlayStation account, neither the Microsoft account nor the PlayStation Network account can be associated with a different account.

If you choose to unlink accounts, then purchases will be returned to the account which made the purchase. Even after unlinking, Microsoft and PlayStation accounts can only be re-linked to the original account. It cannot be unlinked without loss of access to entitlements and Minecoins on other platforms.

What you can do instead is to create a new PSN account where you could link your new Minecraft account.

Hello Nathan, thanks for your response, the platform I’m on is PlayStation Network. The Microsoft account I have linked to my psn account is different from my in game minecraft Microsoft account. Shouldn’t I be able to somehow unlink the minecraft Microsoft account from the game so it can change to the actual account that’s connected to psn? Sorry if this sounds confusing.

Try unlinking your Microsoft account from PlayStation (if possible because I don't use it). you can also unlink 3rd party apps/sites (such as PlayStation) from your Microsoft account from here:

You can unlink the psn account however you CANT link a different one.

How do i unlink a playstation account from windows?

I linked my wifes Microsoft acount to my ps4 by a accident. Is there a way to unlink hers so i can link mine. Pls

I did the same thing but i have two accounts but i didnt remember which account was my best microsoft account and then i choose the wrong account but i cant unlink the wrong account is there a way on the microsft page to unlink the ps4 account?
