I'm trying to save up for a game through Microsoft online store

I'm trying to save up for a game. I'm using bing rewards . at this point, I have $51.65. the game doesn't come out til November, and through my xbox 1 I'm trying to reserve it until I get the rest of the points. It won't let me reserve it because I don't
have the full amount. I'm purchasing this through Microsoft online store to share game with my brother. why is this because I could go to a game stop store and reserve the game for $5 and pay them the rest when it comes in. why can't I do the same on Microsoft
online store ? Once I put the $51.65 in , Microsoft gets to keep it no matter what. so I can't give them the rest because I don't have enough points yet. I might as well go to game stop and pre order there if I can't do it through you

I would ask for my money back from the online store. Then i would go to a GameStop and get you a 360.

I went through this with some tires. Got them online to save money and it ended up costing me alot more. I will never buy anything online where I cant get to a store some what close.

The system is just not set up to take partial payments. If you're paying by credit card it won't charge until about 10 days before the game releases, but in order to pay with your Microsoft account balance you need the full amount because it charges you
immediately.

Go to settings>system>storage>click change where new content is saved change to desired drive and save. Then try installing a game again through the Xbox app or through the Microsoft Store app on your Windows.

What games or items are you trying to purchase?

Could you try to purchase those items on the Microsoft or Xbox store online through the web?

Aside from the cheap promotions, as mentioned, that pop-up on your dashboard from time to time... there's honestly not really much in the line of 'free' trials unless it comes packages in some sort of game/console bundle or in some instances through in store
promotions at retailers like GameStop, Best Buy, or even the Microsoft Store itself. By attending free gaming sessions and other events they have in stores like the Microsoft Store (specifically) you could be able to score a free gift code for Xbox Live through
a drawing or participation in those events.

You could also try and make use of Microsoft Rewards and try to save up enough to points to redeem or 'buy' a gift code for an Xbox Live Gold subscription. That's a good option if you're really trying to go the free route...

I'd also peruse for online giveaways but always take those with a grain of salt/ you could also ask around on social media on gaming pages as a last resort.
