I'm trying to purchase Minecraft Dungeons but Microsoft won't let me add my UK address

I've set up Family Safety, so when my son requests to install Minecraft Dungeons, the alert comes to me. I can then Allow and also pay for the purchase.

But in the process of paying (I chose PayPal) Microsoft first says "We need your profile address We’ll update your Microsoft account profile with this address." When I try and enter my address, the country field is locked to the USA. I'm in the UK.

When I go into my Microsoft account, everything is UK - no hint of my location being USA. Microsoft - please take my money!

The more puzzling part is that this worked for my other son this morning - I wasn't asked for an address, and was able to pay no problem.

May I know if you (or your son) tried to purchase Minecraft directly from xbox.com?

No, it was via Minecraft (Java edition, on Windows). It linked out to the Minecraft website I think.

I see. I guess I would have to download them when I'm back in the UK then.

I'm having more problems with the latest GWG game though (Dungeon Siege III). For the prior games I was able to add them to my download queue even if it's not possible to complete the download, but for Dungeon Siege III I can't even add it to my download
queue, and I won't be able to download the game even when I'm back in the UK (as it would no longer be free via GWG). Is there anything I can do about this?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox Communities Forum. Unfortunately, your Steam licence for Minecraft Dungeons can't be transferred to the Microsoft Store, so it won't be possible for it to show in the Minecraft Launcher unless you purchase it from the Microsoft Store.
