I'm trying to play LOTR return of the King on my 360.

Discus and support I'm trying to play LOTR return of the King on my 360. in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I'm new to this 360 system but it doesn't want to let me play an original xbox game.     I'm new to this 360 system but it doesn't want to let me play an original xbox game. I know others have done so. Any help would be appreciated.

    Can't play original xbox games that work in original xbox

    I'm trying to play LOTR Two Towers, LOTR Return Of The King, Burnout 3: Takedown, and NFS Most Wanted and none of them are letting me play or download anything to let them play. they are all disc versions so they ought to be working fine. I have a
    xbox 360 slim with a first party 250g HDD and the error message is that it could not start the game and that i need to try downloading the game again (even though I am trying to play it from a disc). Anyone have any clue how to fix this? thanks in advance

    Never mind. Yes I do, I know all that ting with the hard drives. Turns out it was the scratches, I managed to do the old smear some toothpaste on and clean it all off, worked a treat LOL!

    have you got a official xbox hard drive? because that has the programs needed to play classic original games.

    well you should start a new thread instead of bumping one from last summer. and second the info is still the same you need a hard drive made by MS on or in (depending on the 360 you have) to play the old games and it has to be one of the supported games.
