Im trying to factory reset my xbox but i cant because my Xbox shows no signal on my tv

Thank you for taking the time to reply to this thread.

This can be done by following these simple steps straight from the article that covers
troubleshooting a blank TV screen while your Xbox One is on:

1. If there's a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.
   
2. On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console.
   
3. Press and hold the Xbox button and the
   Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep.
   Don’t let go until the second beep occurs.
   Note If you have an Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, you’ll need to press and hold the
   Xbox button and the Pair button instead, as your console does not have an
   Eject button.
   
4. In either case, this will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, press the
   Xbox button to open the guide. Go to Profile & system >
   Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution you want from the Display dropdown.

If the xbox light is turned on, then yes, you can still hard reset it. But its gonna be hard to see if its working without a signal to ur tv.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are experiencing difficulties with displaying an image on your TV.

I would instead recommend that you attempt to
reset your display on your console in order to be able to revert to a lower resolution and then maunally configure it.

Give this a try and let us know if this works for you!

My friends list hasnt been visible for a couple months now, I never bothered with it because all my friends would show up in my in-game friends list, now that i'm playing other games I cant tell if my friends are on and recently found out they cant tell
if im online either. I'll try a soft factory reset and see if that helps.
