Discus and support I'm stuck on verifying the release date to Fable 3...Help!!! in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I bought a physical sealed copy of Fable 3 for Windows and Installed everything it needs.     I'm stuck on verifying the release date to Fable 3...Help!!!


    I bought a physical sealed copy of Fable 3 for Windows and Installed everything it needs. I've been stuck at the Verify release date stage, for 3 days now. Every time I try to verify it goes for a few seconds and then says GFWL didn't connect and to make
    sure I'm connected to the internet, which I am. I tried shutting of the firewall while trying to verify, I mad a new user on my computer that is not signed in via email, but nothing works. I really starting to get frustrated and am about to pull my hair out.
    any help would be greatly appreciated. I have Windows 10 Pro 64bit.

    sign into xbox app if you dont have it download it to so you can play it

    Hi James,

    Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. In regard to getting a message about

    Games for Windows Live     (for Windows 7, 8 & 8.1), as you're using a Windows 10 PC, you'll need to install the Xbox App and sign in there with your Microsoft account.

    How to sign in to the Xbox Console Companion app on Windows 10

    Additionally, you may wish to check out this community post titled Can't
    verify release date of Fable III Retail Copy    . It is a bit of an older thread, but has some great information you may find helpful as well.

    Can't activate Dead Rising 2 off the record on GFWL. Fails to connect to server to verify release date of game.

    I have the exact same issue with fable 3. I got a new hard drive so I had to install it again. but it won't verify its release date and so I'm stuck not being able to play it anymore!
