I'm so unset at Titanfall that I'm about to join team Sony!

I went to the store the same way I always do, I picked up the newest game I could find like I always do, I went home and got ready for what looked to be like a fps halo type game, then it hits me as I cant get past the start screen....

I can't play this game without being having an internet plan and a router.

I have never felt like I wasted my money on a game before I played it...Till now!

How dare developers or game companys make a game that only works if Im rich enough to afford a Gold Account and then Internet on top of that!

I live in a 30ft sailboat in southern california, I cant get good internet here, I refuse to pay 50+ bucks for clear when I barely get a signal. There are no other options here.

So instead of playing my new game I'm here, I can't return the game, and now I have to loose money and deal with **** on craigslist or ebay, after that I have to do some more work on my part, by meeting cl users or shipping the thing.

I can't believe that the developers can release a game that has ZERO offline value. At least some way to practice before throwing me into a cage with a bunch of other people and saying sink or swim.

I'll accept some of the blame as I didn't read the package... I don't read the wrapper on most candy bars, if I see a new one I may try it, it being laced with poison is not ok even if the wrapper said so!

I feel ripped off and cheated.

I'm thinking about going to Sony. Why? Because every time I want to go life I can't with Microsoft. Sometimes I feel like I spending money for nothing. I love Xbox as a company but I can't keep giving away money to not be able to enjoy it.

I here you out, Gamestop and other gamestores should warn people before they buy a game that it's multiplayer only, or some other niche that most core gamers wouldn't no about, before they buy a game, so there not coming back to the store an hour later complaining
about the game.

Op, you're going to get allot of big game updates on the XB1, just letting you know you're really going to need some internet.

 

With your situation and your limited access to the internet, you may want to look into a Mobile Hotspot from your service provider. If your 4g or 3g coverage is good in your area, you will get good enough signals to play on Xbox Live. The only drawback to
using a Hotspot is, you only are given the data you pay for, and you wont be able to go over that usage, without paying an additional $10 to $15 for an extra GB of data. You can also pay for unlimited data, but that is really costly and it's really just a
waist of money just to get on XBL.

 

Its your own mistake for not reading the game box correctly. It clearly states on the case what is required. You admit to not reading that.

 

Have to argree with Viral,you really don't have anyone to blame but yourself for this.

It's been well known for a long time that Titanfall was online only & it does say this on the box.

Not sure why you can't take the game back.

 

Ugh. People need to take personal responsibility for their actions. You made a purchase. It is no ones fault, but your own, for failing to understand what it is you were buying.

 

Don't go to the store and blindly purchase the newest game. If you've been doing this for a while you should have been severely disappointed on several occasions already as most games are terrible/generic. Aside from that I completely agree with the previous
replies. Read the box. Be an informed and aware consumer. There is too much competition out there for you not to be.

No. You should accept all of the blame, not some of it. You were told what the product entailed before you bought it. If you chose to ignore that information, that's on you.

 

It's not the end of the world dude....yet anyway. Who are you really mad at? There really isn't anyone to blame. You weren't in the 'know', so you made a purchase under a false assumption. Life will go on....for a while. Look on the bright side, you're ready
