Try to sign in and it wont let me.

Hard boot Xbox, now im signed in but not connected to the network.

Try to connect to the network and it says im connected to the network and everything is online...

goes back to screen and it still says im offline.

Try to play game offline and it says it can retrieve my saved data.

Glad I spent my hard earned money a big black box paper weight

im done with call of duty..im tired of getting cod games every year and getting tired of it..im gonna go with the new ip and will also get gta v...i dont understand how im gonna be able to get these games and pay attention to my girlfriend this winter but o well fuck it

 

Not to mention the 3 hours I waited last night for a call back, then when i finally got it I sat on hold for another half hour before hanging up

 

Before saying its absolutely an xbox or MS issue, perhaps examine your router settings. Look at NAT settings. It might also be the age of your router too. I was running a 6 year old one and had loads of issues. My ISP gave me an updated one, and I have had
very few issues since the weekend after Christmas.

Just because your computer and other devices can connect does not mean its properly configured for your Xbox.

 

[Mod Removed]...It's not my "other " network hardware. Everything else works as it should. It's a crappy system put out by Microsoft and managed under Xbox. This is the second evening in a row that this has happened. Shortly we'll get
a post on here telling us they are sorry and it has "bubbled" up to be fixed and nothing will happen in a timely manner. To add insult to injury they will also mark this thread as an answered question when nobody answers SQUAT.

I know PSN has had it's own share of problems but at least that's free. It looks like I'll be shopping for a PS4 on my way home from work tomorrow so maybe I can play something tomorrow evening and over the weekend.

 

Hate to break it to ya, but to play games on PS4 online, you need to pay for Playstation Plus. No longer free. Microsoft needs to get this working soon. Getting sick of not being able to play the games I have because their service is not available, or
broken.

 

I hate complaining but this is getting old. I work 60 hours a week and I dont want to work another 2-3 hours just to be able to play 30-45 minutes before I have to turn it off again. This is suppose to be my time to relax not get frustrated. I'm getting
to the point to sell my 3 Xbox One's and go back to playing my 360's, at least the kids and I could play offline if there were issues with Live. Please fix this issue before adding more strain to the system with Win 10. I am not looking forward to that update
as I am afraid it will be a paper weight then.

 

I've had the X1 since launch and can say live has had more issues than it did for the 360. Didn't MS say they invested a good amount of money into their servers?

 

rdh616.....I got the ps4 for Xmas and love it! I say go for it. Games such as bf4 run so much better on it and psn has been pretty stable except for the Christmas issues. I'll be using my X1 for exclusives only moving forward.

 

Right there with you. No way I can rely on this box as my "go to" entertainment device - it would be great but it's so married to XBOX Live it becomes a black brick when you don't have XBOX LIVE access. I had to dig out and reconnect my APPLE TV so I could
at least watch something since we have been in the middle of a storm and "going outside" hasn't been an option.

It's so avoidable, which is why it's so frustrating - for me to connect to Hulu I shouldn't need to connect to XBOX LIVE and get their freaking permission, and my local game saves of a disc based game should be on my box and able to be used without Internet
access. I thought MS has scaled back on all the Internet requirement stuff, but truth is - no they didn't, they just disguised them - yeah, you can turn on your system, but you can't do a dang thing with it if MS's XBOX LIVE service decides to crap out like
this.

 

the problems right now ARE because of windows 10 and the fable beta. they are trying to make two platforms connect to each other and it obviously doesnt like it. this has arisen as a buying ploy because playstation offer join a game you dont own. we are
all subject to delays because of marketing
