Unless it says in the instructions you were sent to write anything on the outside of the box, anything to Microsoft would just be written down and put in the box with the controller. Take the box to where you want to ship it from and they can help you
package it and get the address on it.

fedex just want to make money. Me I have payed the 100 dollar to send the console to microsoft for repair. That's normally include the package but the fedex agent ask me to payed for it telling me microsoft wasn't paying for packaging... so I have to payed
10 dollars more.

Yes. A lot of companies will offer a prepaid label for you to ship something back in the event there is an issue, whether it's the customer's fault or the manufacturing, but they typically won't send a box/packaging. That's up to the customer to deal with. Businesses are all about making money and that's one way they can save. It's unfortunate, but it's pretty common these days.

I know Microsoft used to put a 30 day code for Gold in the package when they sent consoles back. I'm not sure if they still do or put anything similar, but that's the most they've ever done as far as compensation for sending a console in.
