I’m seeing a blank screen with my xBox One X set up.

Recently, I bought an X Box One X. I’m attempting to set it up. Everything seems plugged in (HDMI out to tv’s HDMI in jack, the power jack (cord’s in securely) (to a surge protector), connected to a working outlet.

The device powers on when I hit the power button, it seems to be ok, but I’m simply getting a blank screen on my TV. Nothing shows up when I’m in the “gaming” input section (you know: tv option, dvd option, gaming option).

I can’t see the set up screen. It’s an older digital tv (still works), but was told as long as it has an hdmi port (there are two, which I’ve tried both), it should work.

I don’t know if this is a tv issue, if I need to change some small thing, or if it’s an x box issue, but so far have had little luck. Any ideas?

Thank you for reaching out. If you haven't already done so, I'd like for you to try a different HDMI cable and a different TV/monitor if possible. If it is hardware related, this should indicate where the problem lies. Let us know how it goes!

Can you get to the TV setup menu without the XBox connected?

Can you select Source on TV remote and Choose HDMI?

I’m also having a similar login issue over Xbox Live on my Xbox One X. Attempted to restart, power cycle, unplug, etc. - just locks up with a blank screen, whether it’s signing in or restarting. I’m going to attempt another manual reset (as using the Restart
command just locks up the console and leaves me with a blank screen - no error message) and see what happens...

The troubleshooting where you have to hold down the eject button and the power button doesn't work on my 1x, I only hear one beep and not even a beep at the start. I am still having an issue where my One X displays a blank screen on start up and still have

I received the blank screen last night and I did not get the green startup. I tried the rest and I still have blank screen on my xbox one x. The HDMI cable is good, i tested it on my switch. What can I do?
