    I’m not sure if I’m having hardware issues or a problem on Xbox’s end with LG


    , them having had a known scandalous HDMI issue and now that that’s fixed , after I figured it out 2 weeks before it was fixed ,the DVR starts flickering or being pixelated for some reason. My Xbox definitely needs to be cleaned but idk if it’s still eligible for repairs/serices? And if I could access that so it’s done by someone who knows what they’re doing and would be covered on both our ends if anything happened? Or if there’s other solutions to this fix but am still interested in the coverage concern as far as repairing/cleaning. Thanks for your time and effort in advance (XSX 2020 build bought brand new in 2023)

    Dust buildup can cause overheating or performance issues.

    Regarding your HDMI and DVR flickering issues, the flickering and pixelation could stem from the HDMI connection. Kindly perform the following to isolate the issue:

    Kindly test with a high-quality HDMI 2.1 cable.

    And then use a different HDMI port on your TV.

    Please make sure as well that your TV's firmware is up to date.

    And about the warranty of your Xbox console you can check it online by signing in to your Microsoft account and register your device here: https://account.microsoft.com>; Devices.

    If incase the Xbox is already out of warranty, you can still submit a service order for repairs on the page.

    Okay thanks I guess you answered my main question, which was if the HDR really matters but I’m not getting an OLED until I get a new tv so just for the monitor looks like I’m going with the Gigabyte seems to have the least issues between the Samsung, and is much cheaper than the LG. Thanks for clarifying the whole HDR thing, I’m sure either one will look better than my 6 year old LG 4K 60hz. Thanks again!

    As I said, it's an incompatibility between the Xbox and TV hardware. I understand it's not happening with other devices but as explained above the issue is with the TV and LG would likely have to replace specific hardware to fix this issue. The fact that other Xbox users are having issues with LG TVs (but not other TVs) reinforces this further, LG will need to address this on their end.

    How do you know it's not a hardware problem with the Xbox?......most people who experience this are Day 1 Xbox users (i.e people who purchased the XSX on release)......like myself.
