I'm not showing up as online to my friends.

So I already posted this in the preview program forums but was directed by chat support to post here as it will get picked up by a member of the support team who is able to help. Makes no sense as there is a separate preview program forum but here goes.

I'm getting so frustrating ever since I moved over to the NXOE I was stuck as appear offline, no matter how much I changed it it still resorted to appear offline. The most recent update allowed me to change it to appear online and it seemed to stick. However....when
I've asked friends to check if I appear online...it says I've not been online for ages. Now I've tried logging on via the Xbox App, 2 Xbox 360s and nothing seems to show up as me appearing online despite me it seemingly looking like I am from my point of view.
I've had numerous friends check and for all of them I am showing as offline.

Now people on here and numerous forums have given the following solutions;

• Hard Reset Console
• Turn off instant sign in
• Sign in and Sign out on console
• remove account from console and re add it
• Check your NAT settings are ok (they are open)
• Checked all my settings are set to Allow and Everyone for sharing everything on console.
  
• Reset Wireless router

NONE of these have worked, with Halo just around the corner it is infuriating that a simple feature will not work. The fact that my last seen isn't even showing activity on other consoles is annoying, did the NXOE change my account somehow to never appear
online?!!! Why can't I stream on twitch? Is that connected because there is nothing wrong with my twitch account works fine from PC but Xbox tells me my account isn't authorised to do so (yes the setting is enabled in settings)

I've had it confirmed that I do not have restrictions or communication bans on my account and in chat support they were unable to explain why I would still not be showing up as online on an Xbox 360 console.

The only thing I've not done is factory reset my Xbox One console but with my issue not being resolved across more than one console and types of devices/consoles I do not hold faith that going through that would even resolve the issue.

Getting annoyed I've seen plenty of known issue threads and literature around the NAT issues and connectivity and not this and no one to this point has been able to help me at all.

for me its 0 friends online even though there are people online i check my friends list and no one is there i need explanations

Hey StrikeKnight57, before you get into anything too crazy check the basics first.

1. What is your NAT type showing as?

2. What are your friends (that you can't connect with) NAT's showing as?

3. Can the people that you are having issues with see you?

4. Are you receiving messages from the problematic friends and vice a versa?

Did this ever get solved? I'm having the exact same problem. Since getting an Xbox One none of my friends on xbox 360 can see me as online when I'm on. I've checked my privacy settings on both consoles and both are set to appera online.

Same here 8 hours plus troubleshooting with no avail. If I have to restart all over I want xbox to know I will be doing it on a new platform unless I get a really good offer for doing so.

 

Im sorry to break the news flameboy, but there is nothing on this because its such an isolated issue. Xbox dropped the ball and is too far gone for a fix. It makes more monetary sense to lose our business than to work on it for them it seems. The fix is
delete your account and start a new one. I have a follow up call tonight on this and will be posting my results. I have had this issue since xbox one came out and I had a 360 so I sold the 360 and got a ps3. Got the xbox one to play with people I personally
know and regret it. I want my xbox live to be free until they fix it if not I will transition back to playstation and give up on xbox all together, make new friends ect...

 

Fkameboy, xbox dodges me when I state that the issue is in their servers and nothing to do with consoles or account settings. Ask for free xbox live until it is fixed if not you csn come play with me on PS4 which is 100 times better with matchmaking and
such. I regret thtowing my money at xbox onky to be put thru a ringer of trouble shooting with no compensation. They don't care if we leave and people need to know that.

 

As promised the result of my call this night , after speaking with a very rude representative I was able to escalated to a manager with another nice representative. With the manager and explain the whole story which was a pain because I have to explain it
to like three different people, going through the checklist of things that we have done the previous times I've called she was able to fix it something that was done before but had not been redone after resetting the console which is going into the profile
and making sure that it says appearing online which is probably the one thing you do when you first start troubleshooting and toggled if would say that it is not. everything had been reset only the console not the games or apps and all the profiles and things
double checked and profile re-downloaded she had me check the profile to see if it said that I was online and sure enough it had me as appear off-line prior to re-downloading the profile and resetting the console might've been toggled but really not registering.
there I told it this time definitely people can now see that I am online and feeling better about you Xbox I will keep paying the subscription.
