I'm not receiving notifications for my friends signing online

I'm not receiving notifications for my friends signing online and they don't receive a notification for me signing on either.

This has been happening for about a week now and I'm not sure why. I've chatted with Microsoft support twice and none of their solutions helped me. First they had me clear my alternate Mac address, and turn off my notifications and then turn them back on,
and the same with other settings as well. I've power cycled and I've done a hard reset and just now I reset it to factory settings and still nothing.

Can anyone help me? It's frustrating.

I'm not receiving notifications when my friends are online. All the settings are correct. Help Anyone?!

 

Not receiving game invites

For some reason I am not receiving all my game invites. I occasionally get ones but not all of them. I get message notifications, friends signing on etc but not game invites.

Sorry to hear about the issue! Have your tried removing your friends from your Favorites and re-add them as a 'Favorite' again? Since they need to be a Favorite friend to receive notifications when they log-in, let's start there.

• Select the Friends Tile.
• Select the friends you want to be notified by and select 'Change friendship'.
  
• Turn off 'Favorite'.
• Hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds, or until the unit has fully powered down.
  
• Power back on and re-add them as a Favorite.

Try all of the steps above and have your buddies do the same! Be sure to post back and let us know how it goes!

 

I'll reply for him. It didn't work. This isn't a problem with his xbox or settings, it's happening for everyone. Again Microsoft likes to have us do the troubleshooting for them.

Thanks for attempting the troubleshooting steps. We like to ensure proper troubleshooting steps have been done to sort out the issue. This issue has been bubbled up to the appropriate folks. Once we have more information, we will update this thread!

 

Same thing is happening to me & all my friends that i've spoke to lately. It all worked fine until the last update. Friends/favourites coming online notifications have also stopped working on the smartglass app ?!!

 

I have this issue as well, I am on the preview program this is a known issue and being looked into, that's all we know at the moment hopefully it will be fixed soon.

 

Hopefully a fix will be out soon. Myself and quite a few of my online friends also have this problem. Doing the above used to get the notifications working again for a short time, but now nothing seems to work. It's amazing how quickly you miss notifications
popping up.

 

Me too, notifications for favorites haven't been popping up for me for about a week.

 

Everything is back to normal now , for me anyway
