I'm not receiving game or party invites

    I'm not receiving game or party invites


    For the past several weeks I have been playing Destiny again. While looking for raid groups, I keep getting messages from people saying "I've sent you an invite, join us" or something to that effect. But I am not getting a notification pop-up and my guide
    has no indication of a party or game invite.

    This is hugely frustrating. I have taken the following steps to try to resolve:

    • hard reboot of the console
    • deleted and re-downloaded by XBL profile
    • confirmed that I have forwarded all the correct ports in my router
    • updated my router, and done a power cycle of the router and modern (several times)
    • confirmed that my NAT is open and run the "check my multiplayer settings" thing in the Xbone settings menu

    HELP! I am stumped.

    Other clues that may or may not be relevant:

    • My XBL gold just renewed in the middle of February, but that was not smooth either. From the renewal date on February 11 until payment was posted to my credit card on March 6, I did not have access to any XBL Gold features in my dashboard. I could not
      see the Deals with Gold or Games with Gold tiles. Don't know if this is related.
    • I have been able to get into parties with my friends, though I either send the invites or join an existing party, so I don't know if I would still have issues if they sent me an invite.
    • As is typical in Destiny, when I am in the tower or other social areas, I occasionally receive invites from randoms. They pop up fine in my screen and my guide feed.
    Again, this is really frustrating and I would appreciate some help. Thanks.

    Not receiving game or party invites but getting messages

    I can send messages, game, and party invites. I can receive messages, but I'm not receiving game or party invites.

    My NAT Type is Open. I've also checked all my settings and they're all set to receiving invites and I'm appearing online. This just started suddenly happening this week, none of my settings have changed.

    Please help!

    Xbox Console Companion: Party and Game Notifications Not Being Received

    They removed the option to receive party and game invites in one of the recent updates. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not. But I use Game Bar for invites now; it works the same.

    I can join parties and receive party invites just fine. The problem is the game invites. For example, I was trying to play Call of Duty: Warzone through a Looking For Group post. I join the party but then don't receive the game invite and can't invite
    them to my game.

    Reset router and Xbox. Can receive invites and have sent invites. I'm just interested in whether appearing offline or online has any affect on Xbox party invites.

    I have tried cycling the router. I'll check about the moderate open NAT settings. Maybe something I missed. It's weird because it's sort of random. Some days will be fine, and others I won't get messages or invites. Some days I'll get messages but no invites.
