I'm Kinda Confused On Cloud Saves

So I am going to do a factory reset on my xbox one in a few days to try and solve a problem, but before that I have to work out if my saved games will be deleted or not. I have my answers for most stuff, but I need to know a bit more since the xbox site
is so vague on what will and won't be deleted.

So do downloaded games, i.e. digital downloads, do their saves stay on my console and save into the cloud? Because like I have skyrim special edition as a digital download on my xbox one and I have many many hours on it of saved games. I don't want it to
be deleted. Now xbox says that games save to the cloud automatically as long as you are connected to xbox live, which I have been for skyrim. The problem is in one of the support categories the question is "Can I store my downloaded content, add-ons, and arcade
games in the cloud?" to which it says no. But I have been testing with my xbox 360, and I have peggle on my xbox one and have only played it on their, I digitally downloaded it, but then on my xbox 360 I have peggle and my progress from my xbox one is on my
xbox 360, which would seem to imply that digital download games do save to the cloud. So then what's the difference between a digital download and downloaded content? I just don't want to lose any saves to my games that I have digitally downloaded because
I have a lot of time and progress in them, and the xbox site is very vague on what will and won't be saved to the cloud.

I would appreciate if someone would tell me if my saves on games I digitally downloaded will be on the cloud, so that I don't have to worry about losing anything. Thanks.

Also quick other question, what is the limit to cloud saves? Because xbox says that with each game gives cloud space so you have unlimited cloud space, yet it also talks about having too much cloud storage and deleting some things
to save room. Which is it? Is there a limit or is it unlimited, because I don't want to find out only some of my game saves are on the cloud.

Ok I'm kinda new at it still lmao so how would I save data onto a USB? And I'm not sure i had or know what cloud saves is lol. Also by "backed up" you mean saved on the USB right? Or something else?

can't discuss NFS, but ryse did do an update in the past 3 weeks. added in maps, costumes, and objectives for multiplayer. I can tell when a game updates or patches becuase i'll come home and it'll show up in my notifications as ready to launch. Forza also
had one adding in new cars.

 

Your game saves will be stored on the cloud. The actual game itself is not.

On the One you have unlimited cloud space. It just increases the more you save. I believe the 360 is limited to 2GB of cloud storage.

 

So then my progress and saves in my digital games will be okay if I reset my console? I'll be able to retrieve them with the rest of my game saves?
