Can't Join a Party

When I try to in a party I get error code 0x8923101C and it says I can't join a party because I'm already in one somewhere else. I do have a second Xbox but it is turned off. What do I do?

0x8923101C error "you're already in a party somewhere else"

I get this error code along with the message "You can't join a party because you're already in one somewhere else". If that is the case, how do I fix this? If someone is actually using my account right now, shouldn't me signing onto it kick them off the
account? Or is this just a bug that needs fixing? I am not sure what I am supposed to do here.

Ive hard reset my console and my router many times only to see the same result , an error code stating "You can't join a party because you're already in one somewhere else." [0x8923101C] Please help , I have never came in contact with this error message
until today . Any help would be appreciated.

I have been having this issue for over a week now.... I have tried hard-resetting my xbox SEVERAL times. Reset my internet SEVERAL times. Even went as far as calling all of my friends with my account on their xbox, and getting them to delete my account.
Tried signing out of Smartglass and out of xbox on my computer, and still nothing. Tried calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX and chatted online with support for quite some time, and they didn't tell me anything i didn't already know.

My NAT type is open, and i know for sure that everything is clear on my end. I've never had any single issue even relatively similar to this on xbox before. I must say; I have been an avid xbox user for the past ten years, and I am quite disappointed. If
anyone has any enlightenment on this issue it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm also having this issue, it says that me and my friend (Johnschicken21) are in a party when on my windows 10 laptop I don't even have the xbox app open and on my xbox one console it says "You are unble to join a party because you are already in one somewhere
else." (0x8923101C) when I have no othere device that's in a party.

Hello Devin, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your consoles.

It may be possible that there's something a little odd with the setup but it should be relatively simple to fix.

First, please make sure that your account is set as Home on your son's console if you're game sharing with him. If all looks good there then the issue may be if your account is set to log in automatically on your son's console when he turns it on.

To fix this you can go into your sons console settings and make sure that it's set to sign him in automatically when he turns on the console.

Once all is set up properly you can delete your gamertag from your sons console as it would not be needed if the account is set as Home.

I have reset everything multiple times and still have this error code.. I have 2 X box ones in my home I have hard reset both. My other X box one is fine and works with no problems. I only have started to have this problem after the update. Please help
