I'm having issues with using an HDMI cable alongside a Turtle Beach audio adapter.

Here's the problem:

- I want to use a monitor (acer k222HQL) to play xbox. However, there is no audio system, so I bought a turtle beach headset and audio adapter to use both the HDMI and the audio adapter.

- Having connected the HDMI into the monitor (picture only), I then connect the adapter and the headset, using the USB/red and white jacks.

Both slots are plugged into the monitor and the headset respectively.

When I turn the monitor on, it comes up with a 'no signal' box. When I turn the xbox on, it attempts to load, comes up with a spinning circle on the controller and console, and the monitor flashes from 'no signal' to black, whilst the console whirrs.

I can use the HDMI for the picture or the audio adapter for the audio. But not together. I have followed several tutorials to set up the turtle beach audio adapter with an HDMI cable, but it leads to the same 'no signal;' problem.

Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Using Audio adapter with HDMI and switching the HDMI input with an HDMI hub, will my Xbox restart?

Yes using both at same time the HDMI to the switch then to the tv the audio adapter to my turtle beach headset and have no issues

also are you using the Xbox HDMI audio adapter

Hey there Odin Crusades!

It sounds like your setup may not be supported unfortunately. If you plug your Xbox 360 into a different monitor or TV and use your Turtle Beach Headset while using that display, are you getting any issues there? It definitely sounds like an issue with the
display that you'll need to reach out to the manufacturer though.

I elected NOT to buy the audio adapter and thought I was was ***. But to my surprise I could connect my audio jack from my cars mp3 adapter into my TV and the transmitter on for my turtle beach headset. This was an amazing work around as I could now watch
TV, play my Xbox, ps3/4 all while using my wireless headphones and didn't need a special cable to use my HDMI to play my Xbox. (This also made my wife VERY happy) perhaps a work around like this could help you.

The Turtle Beach adapter will solve this problem. It basically splits the HDMI signal into optical audio and HDMI video.

HDMI carries both audio and video, so the Turtle Beach adapter basically helps give you the audio connection separately. It can also be used to hook up a sound bar or surround sound system (what i have).

No, you can buy the HDMI Audio Adapter for Xbox 360. Plug in both the Audio adapter and HDMI cable (Audio Adapter is made SLIM enough to fit with an HDMI cable)

You can purchase a Audio adapter so then you can have a hdmi lead connected to your xbox and then the audio adapter connected to the slot in which the AV cable would go, microsoft sell an official set with a hdmi lead and the audio adapter together as seen
