    I'm having issues suddenly with stream play


    I own an Xbox One Slim and I've been streaming the gameplay from my xbox to my PC for streaming. Just last night, my Xbox Companion wouldn't connect to stream with my Xbox. It only gave me the test stream option. when I click the test stream, it tells me either my app or my xbox needs an update, but both are up to date. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, repairing and even resetting my xbox and nothing worked. is this a bug? Please Advise and thank you in advanced.

    Hi Grunge!

    Sorry to hear about what happened. This has been happening actually to several users already even if everything is up-to-date. It could possibly be a bug. I suggest that you try to connect your console and your streaming device using a different connection or try them in both connection whichever would work. You can also perform a power cycle on your console and the last resort would be performing a factory reset (there's an option to keep your games & apps).

    If it still won't work, I recommend that you report this issue directly to the Xbox team via Feedback Hub for them to properly investigate it. Learn more about that here https://support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/m...

    just t clarify, played for an hour with no issues at all. Then suddenly two disconnects in a row while the PC chugged merriely along streaming youtube and FFXIV.

    sitting on a 50/50Mbs line so line load should not be the issue.
