I'm having an issue with the Xbox One app on Windows 10

Ever since the latest cumulative update for Windows 10, my Xbox app won't launch, however, I've found a solution to the issue.

To fix the problem, I disable Cortana and start the Xbox app as fast as I can before Cortana turns back on again because there's no way to disable her completely.

Believe me: I've tried everything. I've ran the WSReset.exe command, I've changed the services related to Xbox to autoamtic, I've uninstalled the Xbox app and re-installed it, I've reset the Xbox app data, and I've updated absolutely everything on my computer
and reset my computer after doing so. Disabling Cortana in the task manager and starting Xbox before she starts up again has been the only consistent solution that works every single time.

Is there going to be an update to fix this any time soon? I want to use the Xbox app again without this problem.

Xbox 360 smartglass can't find console

I'm having this issue too. Xbox 360 is connected to the router with ethernet cable, devices are over wi-fi, 5ghz. Nothing will connect, Windows 10 app, iPad 2 app. Application won't run on my iPhone anymore with iOS 11.

 

App wont turn console on

Im having an issue with the xbox app on windows 10 and the smartglass app on ios not turning my console on. Ive tried with my Windows 10 PC (xbox app), Windows 10 laptop (xbox app) and my Ipad (smartglass app), none will power my console on, they will all
connect to it when its on and turn it off though. My Xbox is set to instant on and everything is on the same network with the same Microsoft account logged in. Any ideas?

To clarify, what exactly happens when you try to start the Xbox One app? Do you get an error message or does it just not open?

 

It continuously loads, doesn't open, and eventually crashes.

 

Just for more clarification, I've ran an sfc scan in the command prompt and have ran the app trouble shooter and they both say everything is fine.

 

I would just like to add that the app will occasionally work on it's own when I start it again, but very rarely. Sorry I have to post so much.

I finally found a solution. I deleted the update "2017-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4020102)"

I'm now attempting to re-install it to check if there was an error with the installation process.

 

Well after installing it again, uninstalling it doesn't work anymore. I'm stuck with where I was before. Have to turn off Cortana in the task-manager before I turn it on. Working with the Xbox app has been one giant pain in the ****. Even my tech guy can't
work it on his computer.

To clarify, after uninstalling that update, did you update again afterwards or have you prevented Windows 10 from downloading the update?
