also i can put the disk drive back in... nothing is broken just doesnt read disks

Not just some xbox's, from what I've been reading. A whole LOT of them have been having major problems with the new update, especially the earlier 360's such as the '06 - '07 or so models have been having major problems with it. Most of these are the disk
drive deciding it doesn't want to read disk's anymore. This problem is caused by them flashing the drives and loading it with the new stock firmware, and the drive not wanting to accept it.

There seems to be a hardware issue with your disc driver. You should send your console for repairs:

What kind of hard drive did it come with.

Providing you are using the original hard drive if the error persists i would advise calling xbox support they should help you.

Also i have a problem a disk reading error the disk tray will jam if there is no disk in but if there is not problem.
