I'm done with microsoft and xbox one

Ok so I redeemed my points from microsoft rewards for nothing all that hard work for nothing.Since I was soo excited about getting gold to play fortnite and other stuff again with the 1 dollar deal.But then I tried getting gold but it keeps saying how
do you wanna pay the rest and I dont have any of that stuff.Also it says something about taxes which is ridiculous which is why I'm done with Microsoft can someone pl z explain this.

I've tried to enjoy playing Bingo on here. No more. It rarely connects and when it does it disconnects in the middle of games just for the round to be over by the time it connects again. Games are meant to be fun and relaxing, not annoying and stressful.

Purchases require taxes, just like if you were to buy it in a retail store. That's pretty standard.

Otherwise, since it starts a recurring subscription, you need a credit card or Paypal on file for the subscription.

Just a heads up, but PSN subscriptions would be the same way. If you don't have a credit card or Paypal, prepaid cards are the way to go.

 

I don't think Switch subscriptions require that. You'll still have to pay taxes though. 25%? Ugh.

 

You have never been able to use your microsoft account balance to pay for a subscription and its likely this will never change, PayPal or credit card would be required or alternatively you can buy xbox live gold subscription cards from retailers.

 

Like several others have stated, you will need a payment method on file to activate a subscription. For future reference you should try to purchase a pre-paid membership card or use your microsoft rewards points for gold membership as opposed to currency
to use towards a subscription.

 

Paying tax is not up to Microsoft but your local state/country. No way to avoid that.

 

Hi, adding a payment method on file to activate a subscription is a pretty standard process for online purchases, not just Xbox ones.

Anyway, you can always manage recurring payments and cancel
Your Xbox Subscription.

 

You should start your own thread. You are commenting on someone elses. However if you have had a refund once they wont do it again. You are allowing your child to play xbox on an adult account. It's easy to create a child account and control it so no
purchases can be made.

switching to sony unfortunately would not solve your issue as you would need to pay tax on purchases there also, as with everything through life, no one likes tax but its a thing. you also will need a source of payment with sony.

you can cancel the automatic payment after so you are not charged after the offer expires.

 

If you have your card details registered on your childs account, who's at fault? Can't go blaming Microsoft/Xbox for your lack of security. Why didn't you set up a passkey for purchases, even better a child account controlled by an adult account. Sorry
