I'm being told that my gamertag is not allowed and I don't know why

Hi all,

I don't usually do this, but I am quite frustrated about this. I have been trying to change my Gamertag to my current username '', but am told that it is not allowed. I've not had a problem with this name before and cannot see why it would be offensive
or inappropriate, I literally only combined two words, both of which pass the test by themselves.

Any help would be appreciated, and I'm happy to give any additional information as required.

Have you checked to see if it means something in another language?? Only thing i can think of .

Hi there! Is it saying it's inappropriate or just saying it isn't allowed? Because if a gamertag is already taken, the new gamertag system will try add a suffix to differentiate you but this doesn't seem to be the case. If it is directly telling you it's
not allowed, I'd recommend to directly contact Xbox support here and see if they can advise you further.

Did you just create the Grimash Microsoft account recently? Looks like it according to your profile. If so, then I suspect the system isn't allowing you to change your gamer tag to Grimash because that name now exists for the new Microsoft Account that
you created.
