im being harassed but the "file a complaint" doesn't really cover it completely

so heres the story;

i was play Red Dead Redemption online in normal free roam where you able to PVP i saw a guy shot him killed him. he FREAKS out. starts calling me names making fun of my gamertag, and killing me left right and center. i let it slide thinking alright hes just
immature, i leave the area he follows me. continues to harass me so i filed a complaint on voice communications and left the game to join a different server.

a few minutes after im in the new server he joins it too. by this point i had made him an "avoided player" and he kept right on doing what he did before no mater where i went in the game he was there to kill me. making it impossible for me to enjoy the game.
but he was no longer being abusive over voice chat so filling a complaint wouldn't be accurate. so i left again and i got this message "thats right run you
[Mod Removed]" (I'm sorry if that language isn't aloud on the forms i just want to repeat what he said word for word.) so i filed a new complaint for text communications.

what i want to do is file for abusive behavior and make sure he cant join my games anymore, ive put my online settings to appear off-line but it dosent seem right that i have to hide to such an extent just to play a game.

idk if its worth mentioning but his gamer tag is [Mod Removed] (and he said my name was unoriginal lol.)

idk if there's anything else i can do i just want to play my game in peace. thank you for any and all help.

If you are being harassed, block communications and file a complaint via your console and then move on. MS will handle it.

 

I wouldn't worry about it hoss, just let him be upset nothing he can do really

 

Calling out gamertags is not allowed on the forums.

It's a pain but just appear offline for a couple of days & they'll more than likely give up.

You've done the right thing by filing a complaint,it will be investigated & any appropiate action taken.

You can't report someone via the forums,only via your console.

 

good to know about the gamer tag thing if i can i'll edit that out

i didnt think i could file a complaint here just was sure if there was a more formal way to do it online or via email to someone then just on my box

No problem.A forum mod will remove the gamertag at some point for you.

 

So you are mad that in player vs player mode a person was hunting you down and killing you?

Bad language wasn't acceptable but the killing was, after all that is the point of the mode.

Why did you not turn the tables and start killing in return?

 

i was upset that when i left him alone he kept following me. i would go play co-op missions he'd join and not play the mission. just kill me. id leave the sever and join a different one and he'd join off my tag

and i did kill him a few times and thats when he'd get *** all over again so instead of continually adding to his frustration i tried to be the bigger man and do something else

 

Here's how to stop this happening again. Go to your privacy settings, set your online status to 'Friends Only'. Once you do this, the stalker will see your tag as 'Offline' and the option for them to join your games will be greyed out. If you are playing
with friends, ask them to do the same.
