    Im a bit worried!


    Hi All,

    As you may know the August update broke alot of peoples X1s by causing them to stop reading games.(Theres quite a large thread in the support section)

    This seems to be affecting newer users but someone did post that it had happened to their Day One console. So now Im worried but I don't own any physical games to see if Im affected.

    So how widespread is this problem?

    My next game Im getting is Destiny(physical copy) and I would be gutted to find out I was affected right before playing the game of a lifetime.

    TLDR: How many of you had your console bricked by the update? Can you still install disc based games?

    Im a bit worried!

    I've had the Xbox 1 since Day 1 and the August Update hasn't bricked it. I was playing Forza 5 on it an hour ago everything is normal. A key benefit of the August Update is that the Dashboard now tells you WHEN offline friends were last online (eg. 3 hours
    ago, 2 days ago). This is something which Xbox 360's Dashboard does and what xbox.com use to do until they did an overhaul this year.

    I hope mine isn't bricked as I have no way to test it till Destiny.

    I also have the day 1 console and I'm in the beta dash test and with all the updates I get my console is working fine.

    My Xbox has been fine since the August update and I am in the beta program!

    Dont worry about it OP im sure all will be good Im a bit worried! :)

    Doesn't matter, I just found how. I have had no issue's at all being in the preview BUT I'm a little nervous now, with so many good game's out soon I have this bad feelings an early update will mess My X1 up just as I start to get some good game's (Destiny
    is the first of many). So I'm opting out lol.

    I played watchdogs recently, I'm also in the beta and not had one problem. I'm also a day one owner, all is fine.
