    I'm 17. How can I access my privacy settings so I can accept a Realms invitation?


    My little cousin (7) got a realm for Christmas so he could play with his friends, my 2 siblings and I. However, when he sent us an invitation, it gave us a message saying
    "You Need Permission" and that we needed to review and change our privacy settings.

    I went to the
    link     the message provided, and my uncle and I tried to follow the article to resolve the issue, thinking it was on my cousin's end. But everything that it said my cousin needed was selected. So, I spent the rest of the night trying to resolve it on
    my end.

    I tried to go to my own Xbox settings, but every time I tried to access them, it redirected me to a "Manage
    app privacy settings on Xbox"     article.     Clicking the link the article provided literally just refreshed the page.

    I could find no other helpful articles, and could not contact anyone but this user forum.



    • Is this a site issue, or are minors just banned from troubleshooting?
    • Would changing my birthdate on my microsoft account fix this?
    • I'm not part of a family account. If I can't do this myself, can I get my parents to set up their own accounts so they can change my settings for me? (Neither have microsoft accounts.)

    I'm having the same issue with Realms! Whenever I try accepting an invite to one of my friends' realms, it keeps saying "You are unable to play multiplayer because of how your account is set up. Change your settings on aka.ms/accountsettings to allow this,"
    but my settings are already set to "allow multiplayer."
