I'll try again, xbox one s memory 1/2 full with just 2 games loaded

OK good , I got a new xbox one s 500gb, loaded one game of 10 gb & one of 60 gb , but game says I only have 252 gb left. It did take 6 hrs. + to load the 60gb game. Thanks for any help : )

I just took an xbox one S and i can not install an xbox 360 game on it like black ops 2 (just 1 cd). He asks me to install CD 1. someone can help me ?

problem again with dead space 3 (2 cd FOR MEMORY)

Question about games

Ok, so far there is only 1 Xbox One in the house along with 2 Xbox 360's. Once I replace the 360's with One's will my children be able to play a game already on the first console or will there be a fee for them to be able to play? If this is the case,
I'll just buy PS4's from here on out.

 

Well to begin with a 500gb hard drive will only have around 466gb of usable space.

Then from what I've read the Xbox One OS and other console functions will take up around 100gb of space for itself, taking the space now available to you down to around 366gb.

Now take away 70gb for your games and you are down to under 300gb. Then add in patches, DLC, apps you may have installed etc and the space usage sounds about right to me.

 

Maybe it's just me... because I am kwazy after all...
but what does lack of storage space have to do with memory?

 

People sadly often use the two terms interchangeably.

 

Yeah,the operating system takes up just over 100gb so you only have about 360gb of actual storage space on your hard drive & after what you posted it's about the right amount left.

 

Given that I am well on my way to being drunk, I shall let this website explain why a 500gb hard drive doesn't show as 500gb.

If you mean installing it from a disc then if you are updating the game at the same time it can slow the process down,especially if your broadband isn't that great.

Install the game while not connected to live & download any updates after,that should speed things up.

 

Thanks everyone for their help & answers. I still have the ' free ' game digital card that came with xbox one s it says up to 80 gb , question , will from this point the storage room left ' 252 gb ' be able to be used for games ? 252 - 80 = 172 or even close
to that ?

Also since this is just digital game will the down load go any faster ?
