I'll get the Halo MC collection, but I wish 343 would not be afraid to Combat Evolve the ...

So, we've seen Halo Anniversary, the remake and now we are seeing all Halo games remade, but I wish 343 would have considered running it all under the Halo 4 engine and keep the controls 100% compatible, the whole way through...even, if it meant ditching
dual wielding in Halo 2.

The best way to enjoy the collection, is to make it feel like one big game. One unified game...instead, we will see artistic separations and jump from a cartoony Halo 1, to a slightly less cartoony, but a more muddy, but less cartoony Halo 2, featuring a neon
green MC, then to an even less cartoony and neon green MC in Halo 3, to the more realistic looking Halo 4, featuring a more proper military green armor. Essentially, nothing about this compilation will feel "related." It will keep all Halo experiences distinctly
different(except 2 and 3, which share somewhat more of a similar feel).

I understand that they did this so people can enjoy the original experience, but that's just it...the gameplay is outdated and it is no longer 2000-2003. Halo 3 and Halo 4 is the most up to date, in terms of gameplay mechanics and interaction(definitely
not in aesthetics for Halo 3). Not to mention, I will go back to my struggles in trying to "unlearn," my controller habits across Halo titles, with many of cursing moments; "oh #$%!, that's right... there are no assassinations in Halo 1-2..." or "Oh @*#&$!,
that's right...I press B to pick up the weapons now...not X" or "oh-yeah! Crouch isn't B in Halo 1" or ""@&#&$! that's right...Y picks up an off-hand weapon in Halo 2" or "that's right..melee moves to the right bumper button" lastly, "...and where is the
assassination button, again? Oh, right...doesn't get invented until Halo 3." This all could be resolved by unifying all Halo games...all the way down to the color pallets of each game, which drastically changes between titles, but most importantly, to bridge
the games together to one big experience.

I honestly think 343 Industries will improve and refine Halo 5: Guardians using lessons learned from Halo 4. I'll be the first to admit, I wasn't a big fan of Halo 4 but Master Chief Collection is awesome to play (when functioning) and the Halo 5: Guardians
Beta impressed me quite a bit.

 

Firefight should be replaced with FF Doubles

I am afraid 343 are not updating Halo Reach as of the release of Halo 4. However they may come back to it in the future.

 

um.... if you'd read earlier articles about this subject, i'm pretty sure someone mentioned that you would be able to pick a control scheme that would be usable across all the games. I think. I could be wrong...

and I have no problem admitting it, since by proving me wrong you've done a service for the halo community at large

 

Okay, so that will be nice...but that's not the only things I wrote about. Modernizing/ evolving the combat system to be up to date with Halo 4, unifying the graphics engines so that they don't jump from cartoony, to realistic and gives it a more modern
feel. People can always go back and play the old stuff and/ or switch it over to classic mode for the classic feel.

 

No no and no. The point is to be able to play the games as close to the original as possible. Lots of us are getting this game for the opposite reasons u stated. I'm playing this because I like Halo, but I'm hoping I can have fun like I did at age 24. Most
of the next gen offerings are pretty weak and I'm hoping this will get me into shooters again.
